Pathil Holidays representative will meet you at the Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer you to the hotel. You will have short briefing regarding your trip.
In the morning you will meet your tour guide to visit historic, religious and architectural places of Kathmandu valley. You will visit Swayambhunath (Buddhists Shrine, also called monkey temple), Boudhanath (Largest Stupa in the world), Pashupatinath (Hindu’s greatest pilgrimage site) and Patan Durbar Square (Historic place for ancient art and architecture). Your guide will check all your trekking and climbing equipment. You can rent or buy the required equipment in Kathmandu.
Today you drive to Nayapul. By driving it takes 8 hours to reach Nayapul throught Pokhara. From Nayapul we walk for about 30 minutes to reach Birethanti. On your way you can see green forests, small villages and hills. You will start to feel the cool weather of the mountains. After Nayapul you will have to pass though tourist check post where you have to show your ACAP Permit and Trekking Permit. Birethanti is beautiful village in the banks of Burgundi river.
After breakfast we start our journey. The trail from Birethanti to Ulleri is full of pristine streams. Moreover, there will be farmlands, horses, hills everywhere. The trail leading to Ulleri is through the banks of the Burungdi river. We walk uphill until we reach Hile which is a valley at 1495 meters. From Hile we walk further up to reach Tikhedhunga which is at 1525 meters. From Tikhedhunga The trail is uphill and little touch until you reach Ulleri (2073 meters). Ulleri is a small beautiful Magar village and you will see many stone slabs around. The forest is dense and mostly consists of Rhododendron trees.
On the 5th day of the trek we ascend to Ghorepani. Ghorepani is a very famous site in Annapurna Conservation Area . From Ulleri we slowly trek towards Banthanti which is at 2250 meters. From Banthanti we walk towards Nangeythanti (2460 meters). From Nangeythanti we then trek to Ghorepani at 2860 meters. So, on this day we ascend 900 meters . The trekking region on this day is typical of Annapurna Base Camp trek with mountains, valleys, rhododendron forests, Oak Forests, rivers, streams.
Todays highlight is the ascend to Poon Hill to see the panoramic view of the great Himalayan Ranges which include Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung. we will do this early in the morning to experience the amazing sunrise over the mountains. From there we go back to Ghorepani, have our breakfast and then we continue our journey. We walk all the way to Tadapani.
Tadapani is a great viewpoint to see the beautiful view of Annapurna south, Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli. We further walk through the trail that descends to Kimrong stream. The area is full the forest of rhododendron forest. From there, We walk towards Chhomrong crossing through the Gurjung village. From Chhomrong you can see very close views of Mt. Annapurna south and Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre.
We again walk alongside the Chhomrong river. After a while, we walk uphill which is a bit steep trail undil we reach Sinuwa which is at 2350 meters. From Sinuwa we walk to Dovan at 2580 meters. There is great view of Mount Machhapuchhre from Dovan.
Finally, today is the day we trek all the way to Annapurna Base Camp. We begin our day by walking all the way to Machhapuchhare base camp which is at 3900 meters. You will have a great chance to see glaciers when you trek around Machhapuchhare Base Camp. From Machhapuchhre base camp the trail is very rocky and it takes around two hours up to reach Annapurna Base Camp. From the Annapurna Base Camp you will see 360 degree view of the mountains. It will be like sitting inside a bowl and looking at the mountains all around you.
From Annapurna Base Camp we walk down to Deurali.
From Deurali we walk for about 6 hours to reach Bamboo.
Today will be quite uphill and downhill walk. From Bamboo we go down to the Kuldi Ghar. From Kuldi ghar we go down to Sinuwa. From Sinuwa we go to Lower Chhomrong. From Lower Chhomrong we walk uphill to Upper Chhomrong. From Upper Chhomrong, we go down to Jhinu Danda. There is a hot spring near Jhinu Danda, which is approximately 15 minutes walk away.
From Jhinu Danda we walk to Kyumi village. From Kyumi village we trek to Syauli bazaar and then down to Birethanti. Furthermore, we walk an hour more to Nayapul. The trek ends at Naya Pul. From Naya Pul, we drive onwards to Pokhara
Drive back to Kathmandu.
