There are numbers of beautiful places to visit outside the Kathmandu Valley. Some of those places are listed below:

Dhulikhel

Dhulikhel is the place rich in nature as well as culture. It is the best place for the tourists who are seeking to escape from the hustle and bustle of the Kathmandu city. The majority of the people living here are Newars. Dhulikhel is famous for beautiful sceneries, short treks, ancient temples, culture and many more. It is really a cool place to visit outside Kathmandu Valley.

Namo Buddha

Namo Buddha is one of the most important Buddhists Pilgrimage sites in Nepal. It is about 40 km away from Kathmandu. It is also one of the holiest sites in the world. This place has a clean, pure and a peaceful surrounding. It is also a good place for meditation and practice. You can also enjoy the amazing picturesque of the beautiful Himalayan ranges. This place also offers a wonderful view of sunrise and sunset.

Nagarkot

Nagarkot is an amazing place outside the valley offering the broadest view of Himalayas. For those active nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, there are a lot of hiking opportunities to do in and around Nagarkot. Pokhara

This city also offers the closer view Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu and Machhapuchre Mountains. The Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave and Gupteshwor are the famous caves to visit in Pokhara. Chitwan

Chitwan is another major destination for anyone who loves to explore wildlife and many other beautiful places outside the Kathmandu Valley. This place is famous for Chitwan National Park, Elephant Breeding Center, Bish Hajar Taal, Lamo Falls, Sauraha Tharu culture, and also the beautiful Narayani River. Chitwan is rich in flora and fauna. One can explore the famous Chitwan National Park consisting of 68 species of mammals, 56 species of herpetofauna, 126 species of fishes and 544 species of birds.

Lumbini

Lumbini is the birth place of Lord Gautam Buddha. It is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in Rupandehi district. There lies a Lumbini garden with Maya Devi Temple, where queen Maya Devi gave birth to Lord Buddha. Also, you can see a stone pillar, The Ashoka Pillar along with four stupas there.

Manakamana Temple

Visiting Manakamana Temple is a short way to escape out of thehustle and bustleof Kathmandu Valley.Manakamana Temple is a holy place. It is the temple of the goddess Manakamana Devi. Hindus believes that she is the goddess who fulfills their wishes. Manakamana is at the top and below is Kurintar. From Kurintar, the cable car runs and connects two points. In addition, from the top of Manakamana you can see the beautiful mountains view.

Chisapani

Chisapani is one of the popular tourist destination. It lies in Shivapuri National Park. This place offers a stunning view of the snow capped mountains and green hills. It is also a famous spot to see the sunrise and sunset in Langtang, Annapurna and Manaslu ranges.

Kulekhani

Kulekhani has a great prospect of adventure tourism.  It is the largest manmade lake in Nepal and is also known as Indra Sarovar. This place is famous for fishing, hiking, trekking and boating. It is the most peaceful place to spend some quality time out of cities noise.

Chandragiri Hills

Chandragiri Hills lies on the south west side of the Kathmandu Valley. The hill provides panoramic views Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayan ranges from Annapurna to Everest. One can reach the top of the hill through the cable car ride enjoying the most scenic views around. At the top of the hill, there lies Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple. The temple is dedicated to lord Shiva. Outside the temple, there is a statue of King Prithivi Narayan Shah standing with a sword in his hand and garland around his neck.
